  1. How long have you been doing CrossFit
and what was your athletic background
    before CrossFit, if any?

I've been with Alvin CrossFit for about 2 1/2 years.
I ran cross country and track in high school.

  2. Is CrossFit different from what you thought
it was before you came in? How so?

I thought CrossFit was something only famous
    people did.

  3. How does CrossFit compared to any other
    training you've done?

Any training I did was definitely on my own and
most likely wrong. I never knew what to do and
    always lost interest quickly.

  4. Why did you start?
I could tell I was becoming more and more out of shape. But it wasn't until a co-worker of mine joined a local box and I saw amazing results with her in a short amount of time. She was so enthusiastic about CrossFit. I wanted to feel the same way as she did about working out.

  5. Why do you keep coming back?
The friendships I have made along the way definitely keep me coming back. It's my happy hour!

  6. What are your biggest accomplishments or what are you most proud of?
I'm pretty proud of the amount of weight I can lift. A 275 lb deadlift and a 230 lb back squat. I never would have imagined I could move that kind
    of weight!

  7. What is your favorite CrossFit movement?
Anything with heavy weights like power cleans and back squats. I also like wall balls.

  8. What is your favorite healthy meal?
Definitely turkey meatloaf muffins that I learned how to make while doing the 28-day challenge with Alvin CrossFit.

  9. What do you enjoy doing away from the box or tell us something about yourself?
I enjoy watching my son play football and run track for Alvin High School, hanging out with my CrossFit friends and reading.

  10. Any advice for new members?
Don't be intimidated and come give it a try. If there's something you're afraid you can't do don't worry; everything can be scaled to your ability.
