December Nutrition Tip - Week 3: What is a REALISTIC New Year's Resolution?

Hands down, the #1 New Year’s Resolution is to lose weight. Is that yours? How about this year we actually accomplish that goal by taking your weight loss New Year’s Resolution a step further.

  • Write down a realistic goal of achievable weight loss. This helps anchor the goal in your mind!

  • Realistic weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. The fad diet and infomercials that claim more than that are NOT helping you achieve long term, realistic FAT LOSS!

  • Break down your overall target into manageable, achievable goals. Instead of making a goal to lose 30 lbs, make a goal of losing 5 lbs.

  • Another way to break down goals is by day. Just do one day right to build some momentum! "All my meals will come from home today!"

  • Adding just 30 minutes of walking can break through stubborn plateaus.

  • After you set your goal, come up with a plan. The most effective plans include proper nutrition &... you guessed it... exercise!

If you find yourself constantly confused about what to eat, when to eat and how much to eat, we provide guidance to all our members for FREE and we have a more thorough Nutrition Coaching Program if you need more help!
