February Nutrition Tip- Week 4

Sodium (salt) causes your body to retain fluid. Many of the processed foods (Frankenfood) you find down the aisle are packed with sodium to make up for an otherwise poorly tasting food-like item. Try shopping the perimeter of the grocery store and seasoning your food with Ms. Dash, lemon, lime and fresh herbs, like garlic, rosemary, onion, pepper, sea salt (course and unrefined) or curry powder. There's so many great NATURAL items out there that are good for you and it opens up a whole new world of great food possibilities!
